GALLEY CHECKS
For safety reasons, Cabin Crew must advise to Flight Crew or Ground Engineer immediately in case of:
- The waste compartment flapper door cannot close properly.
- The galley restraining devices are missing or cannot lock (including curtain restraining straps).
Cart and trolleys have to be in serviceable condition, it means:
- No parts missing (e.g: wheels).
- No exposed sharp edges (e.g: profiles).
- No defective brakes.
Any unserviceable trolley will be rejected. Out of base, the unserviceable trolleys must be marked as ‘INOP’ and not used during the flight.
CABIN CREW STATIONS CHECKS
- For safety reasons, Cabin Crew must advise to Flight Crew or Ground Engineer immediately in case of:
- The jump seat cannot retract automatically to the stowed position (it could imped the access to emergency exit).
- The harness or buckle looks worn or damage.
- Any equipment is missing or inoperative in your station (e.g.: life jacket, flash light, PBE, etc).
GENERAL CABIN CONDITION AND EMERGENCY EXITS
For safety reasons, Cabin Crew must advise to Flight Crew or Ground Engineer immediately in case of:
- Any overhead bin cannot be closed.
- Wall panels are damaged.
- Any passenger seat cannot maintain the upright position.
- Any restraining bar under seat is missed or damaged
- Any seat belt or buckle appears worn or damaged.
- Any emergency light sign is not illuminated.
- Any tray table lock fails to maintain the table in upright position.
- The carpet is loose or in poor condition affecting the rapid evacuation.
- Wires are exposed.
- Any “No smoking” or “Fasten seat belt” sign cannot be illuminated.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WITH PASSENGERS ON BOARD
- In case of refueling with passengers embarking or on board, follow the procedures described in your manual.
- Reject all the oversized items that exceed the baggage allowance requirements (it shall be placed in the cargo compartment).
- Baggage must be stowed securely.
- Do not load in excess the overhead bins.
- Prior to departure, ensure:
- There are no loose items in the passenger area.
- The emergency exits are not impeded.
